These sessions are ideal for those who value quality but only need a handful of great images and don’t have the time, need, or budget for a full headshot session (I charge over $3,000 for a custom headshot + images).

Mini Headshot Marathon FAQs

Where does the mini headshot marathon take place? Your photoshoot will take place at my studio in Old Town Alexandria. Studio Address: 311 N. Washington Street, Suite 200L, Alexandria, VA, 22314

Do I bring my own clothes or do you have a studio wardrobe available? You will be photographed in your own clothes. We typically are able to fit in three different outfits. Once you book, you'll receive my Headshot Styling Guide along with my favorite tips and recommendations for what to wear to your headshot session and how best to prepare.

How many photos do I get? You are welcome to purchase as many images as you would like! The headshot session fee covers the cost of your photoshoot experience, and clients are typically shown between 50-75 images. You can pre-purchase two fully-retouched, high-resolution images for $200 when booking. Or, if you would prefer to wait to purchase your images on the day of your headshot session, individual images are priced at $290 each (regularly $390), or you can take advantage of our headshot marathon special—five images for $650 (regularly $750)!

When and how do I select my photos? You will select your final photos on the same day as your session, immediately following your photoshoot. Together we will review all of the unretouched photos and pick out your favorites. I have a marketing background and love to help clients think strategically about what images will work best for what purpose.

When and how will you send me the final images? You will receive a link via email to an online gallery where you can download your retouched photos ten days after your photoshoot.

Do I need to bring my own hair and makeup products? All of the artists on my team are experienced, full-time hair and makeup artists, specifically trained in camera-ready makeup, and well-versed in working with all ages, hair types and textures, skin types and complexions, and levels of makeup application from natural beauty to full-on glam. You are more than welcome to bring your own products, especially if you have a lip color you just love, but my artist will have everything you need ready and waiting for you to make you look your best on camera.

Just as your favorite male sportscaster or celebrity wouldn’t get in front of the camera without some “skin prep and grooming,” I offer hair and very light makeup styling for my male clients as well. This ensures you won’t have any shininess, blemishes, or hair out of place that will detract from your headshots.

What happens if I have a conflict and need to reschedule? You can reschedule once without penalty if notice is given at least 14 days prior to the session date, but the rescheduled session will need to take place within 90 days of the original session date. In the event you cancel or are unable to show up for your session, the session retainer fee is forfeited. Due to the custom nature of this work, I cannot provide any refunds.

How is the mini headshot session different from the custom headshot session? The Mini Headshot Sessions are designed for those clients who only need a few, good images and don't have the time, need, or budget to prepare for a Custom Headshot or Personal Branding Session.
